A few nights ago we gave our guests a Christmas surprise. We had loaded the Christmas decorations on board SEVEN SEAS NAVIGATOR in Ft. Luaderdale on November 28th and stored them away to way for just the right moment – one hour back on the clock! On that night at 11:00pm we held a shipwide decorating party. All available crew were to attend. Each department was assigned a particular area to decorate and we had boxes and supplies for each department all ready to distrubute. With all the help it took us only about 90 minutes to get it done and it was fun! There were cookies and eggnog and a festive atmosphere. Everyone seemed to take great pride in what they were doing. Who doesn’t like to give surprises! After the work was done we had a big party in our main show room – the Seven Seas Lounge. There was pizza, sandwiches and drinks with Christmas music playing in the background. It was fun! But truly, what I believe all would say is that the most fun came the next morning when our guests got up and out and found that the little elves had decorated our ship! To accompany that, my deopartment had spent many days working on a Christmas Show which we performed the first night after our guests first saw the decorations. We had many very nice compliments on the show and it was an added joy for us to perform it. That 24 hour period really put us all in the the Christmas Spirit! On the last two nights of the voyage we also celebrated the first two nights of Hanukkah. One of our female guests had led the Sabbath Eve Services for our guests and she also led the candle lighting services. The chef made a special set menu for our guests who wanted to celebrate the holiday together and 42 people signed-up. The voyage turned our to be a great holiday sailing for all!
